Programme Outcomes :

Pharmacy Knowledge :

Possess knowledge and comprehension of the core and basic knowledge associated with the profession of pharmacy, including biomedical sciences; pharmaceutical sciences; behavioural, social, and administrative pharmacy sciences; and manufacturing practices.

Planning Abilities :

Demonstrate effective planning abilities including time management, resource management, delegation skills and organizational skills. Develop and implement plans and organize work to meet deadlines.

Problem analysis :

Utilize the principles of scientific enquiry, thinking analytically, clearly and critically, while solving problems and making decisions during daily practice. Find, analyze, evaluate and apply information systematically and shall make defensible decisions.

Modern tool usage :

Learn, select, and apply appropriate methods and procedures, resources, and modern pharmacy-related computing tools with an understanding of the limitations.

Leadership skills :

Understand and consider the human reaction to change, motivation issues, leadership and team-building when planning changes required for fulfilment of practice, professional and societal responsibilities. Assume participatory roles as responsible citizens or leadership roles when appropriate to facilitate improvement in health and wellbeing.

Professional Identity :

Understand, analyse and communicate the value of their professional roles in society (e.g. health care professionals, promoters of health, educators, managers, employers, employees).

Pharmaceutical Ethics :

Honour personal values and apply ethical principles in professional and social contexts. Demonstrate behaviour that recognizes cultural and personal variability in values, communication and lifestyles. Use ethical frameworks; apply ethical principles while making decisions and take responsibility for the outcomes associated with the decisions.

Communication :

Communicate effectively with the pharmacy community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports, make effective presentations and documentation, and give and receive clear instructions.

The Pharmacist and society :

Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety and legal issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional pharmacy practice.

Environment and sustainability :

Understand the impact of the professional pharmacy solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

Life-long learning :

Recognize the need for and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change. Self access and use feedback effectively from others to identify learning needs and to satisfy these needs on an ongoing basis.

Programme Specific Outcomes :

The graduates are able to acquire adequate knowledge and scientific information regarding basic principles of Pharmaceutical & Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics including Cosmeticology, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy including herbal medicines.
The graduates are required to acquire in depth knowledge of formulation, quality assurance and storage of various pharmaceutical dosage forms including herbal medicines.
The graduates are also able to understand the concept of community pharmacy and be able to participate in health care programmes.
The graduates are also able to gain knowledge of Product detailing, marketing, distribution and selling of pharmaceutical products.

Guidelines for defining of Course outcome and Mapping of COs and Pos :

Faculty of individual department has to sit together for defining of course outcome.
Individual subject teacher has to involve in defining of Course outcome (Cos).
Maximum 4 matrices are to be defined for individual subject/course.
Matrix to be selected from skill provided by SPPU under every subject course.
Selection of matrix from skill objectives on the basis of broad view/maximum covering of syllabus point of that course.
Minor skill objective should have less preference.
Programme outcomes (POs) are to be referred directly from NBA guideline manual Annexure I (11 level)
POs need to be defined separately
Correlate/ Map individual question from Sessional and University question paper (Last 3years)
Defined COs need to approved from respective authorities (HOD, Academic Incharge and Principal)
Mapping should cover the %passing of student of that course for Sessional and University examination.
Mapping of Sessional practical question paper should also to include at the end of mapping sheet in correlation with POs only.
Practical experiment questions only to be mapped with POs (need not to map synopsis questions)

To promote the innovation in the profession of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences by young pharmacist by using imagination and creativity, with a view of securing through innovation having positive impact o community.
To the health and welfare of citizen of nation and world by preparing outstanding pharmacist and scientist.
To strive to improve the quality of the life of citizen.
To provide advanced pharmaceutical knowledge to the budding pharmacist.
To faster learning center with research oriented educational environment.
