Institute believes in practice of decentralized working for systematic delegation to the lowest levels of all authority instead of exercising assignments at central points. Daily work is accomplished by making division of a group of functions and activities into relatively independent units with overall authority and responsibility for their operations. The Institute has its own organizational structure where there is the delegation of authority by the top management to the middle and lower levels of management in an organization. The duty of daily operations and minor decision-making capabilities are transferred to the middle and lower levels which allow top-level management to focus more on major decisions like institutional expansion, infrastructural development, multifariousness etc.
The Principal is autonomous for making decisions and its implementation. Administrative, Academic, Examination, Library and other activities are segregated under in various portfolios which are handled by the in charge of the portfolio and committee constituted for the same. Administrative activities and accounting along with nonteaching practices are monitored by college office head by office superintendent independently. Various committees like Discipline committee, Grievance committee, Anti-Ragging, Cultural etc. have been constructed for management of various activities. The committee heads are given power to command and implementation of the decisions sanctioned in the committee meeting.
Various departments like Academic, Examination, Library, sports are established in the institute headed by the respective in charge associated by the committee members. The in charge in association with the committee plans the semester wise program to be followed and monitor for its execution.
The curriculum has been divided in four disciplines viz. Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy. Head of the department have been appointed for each discipline. The Head of department keeps tracking of all departmental activities for teaching and learning process.
This practice helps in assigning a portion of work and the associated responsibility by a superior to a subordinate.
Decentralization gives an advantage of Rapid decision making where most of the decisions are taken on the spot, and approval from the higher authority is not required, Administrative development, promotes growth and highly efficient control on overall management of the institute.
